Jessica t.
Private tutor in Milledgeville, GA
Education
Sophomore Sociology and International Studies major at Georgia College & State University
Experience
i've done peer editing, and have helped my younger brother through his schooling as well as other friends and family. No official tutoring has come my way yet. SAT was 590 for the Reading part, 690 for the essay, and we don't really need to discuss math because i'm terrible at it. i'm not signed up to tutor math anyways though. i want to be a tutor because i know how daunting a classroom can be. i understand how only a handful of students can control the classroom conversations. i know sometimes it's easier to stay silent instead of ask questions, or a teacher may be intimidating. i feel education is extremely important, so you should seek the help you need. i am currently enrolled in a philosophy class, have had six years of French, and up through 4 levels of italian. i also write well and believe i can explain English to someone who does not speak English as a frist language from learning a couple of foreign languages myself. i've had two real jobs, done baby sitting, am active in community service and have been on the dean's list for 3 semesters now, soon to be 4. i would consider myself fairly well rounded, but tutoring is about the academics anyways.
